With the new year, I made a commitment to posting my tintypes, ambrotypes and glass negatives on the internet on a regular basis. The process I use, wet-plate collodion photography, is explained more thoroughly on my website. (See the link at left.)
I began my wet-plate odyssey in April 2007 under the tutelage of Robert Szabo. I make images at historical events, mostly Civil War reenactments, but also enjoy portraiture, landscapes and still lifes. You can contact me at (337) 250-3876.
I didn't get any movie deals this year, after last year's work with the TV show American Horror Story (look back at last year's post for that shoot), and the 2012 work on the movie Beautiful Creatures. I did make a clip of the scene where my tintypes were used in the movie. Jeremy Irons is using the images to explain one of the teen protagonist's ancestry.
