With the new year, I made a commitment to posting my tintypes, ambrotypes and glass negatives on the internet on a regular basis. The process I use, wet-plate collodion photography, is explained more thoroughly on my website. (See the link at left.)
I began my wet-plate odyssey in April 2007 under the tutelage of Robert Szabo. I make images at historical events, mostly Civil War reenactments, but also enjoy portraiture, landscapes and still lifes. You can contact me at (337) 250-3876.
One of my favorite photographers was E.J. Belloqc, who photographed the women in the brothels of Storyville in New Orleans. His persona was depicted in the movie "Pretty Baby" made in the early 1970s. In that spirit, I made the following images recently with the help of a talented model, Zoya.
any chance of using your photos on my blog.
